We have our annual Christmas Divine service at 5:30 PM on Sunday 14th of December. Our church Vice President Helen will be leading the service. Helen will take us through the nativity story in verse and there will carols and also readings. It should be a lovely evening so do come along and you won’t fail to get into the Christmas spirit.
Helen is inviting anyone who like to, to give a short reading on the platform in between the carols. It can be a Christmas related poem, verse or philosophy and can be serious or humorous. If you would like to give a reading, please let us know in the comments and we will pass your name on to Helen. Alternatively, if you are coming to the Divine service tomorrow (Sunday 7th December), you can let Helen know yourself.
As is the practice every Christmas, the church is welcoming Children’s’ and Women’s Christmas gifts between now and our final service of the year (our Christmas Celebration carol service) on Sunday the 14th of December to go under the tree. They’ll be collected after the service to be taken to a local refuge centre for Women and Children. Gifts should be unwrapped please (not in Christmas wrapping) so the centre staff can see what the gift is and if suitable for a boy or girl. The staff will probably wrap the presents appropriately.
Please donate if you can. Thank you ![]()
