Simon led a lively discussion at the church this morning on the subject ‘The Secrets of Life & Success”.
Simon started the session by asking everyone to fill in a short questionnaire with the questions:-
- What makes you happy the most?
- What do you love doing?
- What is your favourite colour?
- What is the best piece of advice you have been given?
- What is the best piece of advice you could give?
- What are the main causes you support?
- If you could choose your career again what would you do?
- If money was no object what would you want to do?
- If you leave behind a legacy what would it be?
- What are your main guiding values?
Going through each of the questions in turn, we each gave our personal answer and had a lively discussion on the answers given. It was interesting to observe how much commonality there was between most of the answers.
Then, after a break for tea, coffee (and cake of course), Simon took us through a poignant dream he once had which he personally felt gave him some insights into the secrets of life and success. He told us that his dream in the middle of the night was so powerful and meaningful to him that he got up and frantically took detailed notes to capture the dream!
Simon then took us through his dream in detail. You can imagine we were ‘all ears’ at this point and listened intently with high expectations. A second interesting discussion followed and we could all relate to the conclusions.
Two hours flew by! All in all, it was a lovely morning.
