An Introduction to Meditation @ Holywell Spiritualist Church
Nov 7 @ 7:30 pm – 9:00 pm

Angela Jones runs a meditation session every Thursday evening. Doors are open at 7 p.m. for a prompt 7:30 p.m. start and the session runs until 9 p.m. Refreshments are available. The cost is £6.

This is ‘An Introduction to Meditation’ for beginners and intermediates and is a new weekly group session promoting health and well-being, mentally, physically and spiritually.

Background to the session from Angela……

“The life and times we live in today go by so quickly we barely have time to breathe. Meditation has been proven to help you to gain an insight into how to manage and control your lifestyle and enjoy it. Not only stress and anxiety but to improve your health, your sleep, your relationships, and lots of other benefits and managing pain. Studies have shown that heart health and age – related dementia are also on the reduced risk table, so even if you don’t need help with stress, it’s good to reduce your health risk! Life is a risky business😆.

The session also includes sound healing therapy.

I look forward to seeing you. Please wear comfortable clothes. This guided meditation will be seated on a chair. The doors will open at 7 p.m. to start at 7.30 p.m. prompt.”

Divine Service @ Holywell Spiritualist Church
Nov 10 @ 6:30 pm – 8:00 pm

A Divine Service consists of everything the church stands for. It starts with a healing moment where our healing thoughts and prayers sent out to where they are needed, followed by hymns, an opening prayer, a reading, philosophy and a demonstration of mediumship.

The demonstration of mediumship is conducted by a medium who will connect with our loved ones in spirit and bring through messages

Please visit our Divine Service Schedule page for which medium is serving the church each week.  Please note that mediums give their time freely and the schedule is subject to change without notice.

An evening of trance mediumship with Barry Potter @ Holywell Spiritualist Church
Nov 12 @ 7:00 pm – 9:00 pm

We are very pleased to announce medium Barry Potter from Leicester will be visiting us for the first time for this Special.

Barry has been a spiritualist medium for over 30 years and is a trance-medium which means he allows spirit to talk through him as opposed to just telling the message recipient himself. In other words, spirit takes over him and his voice.

He has served churches all over the country with many endorsements for his special brand of accurate mediumship.

All welcome. Cost £5 at the door with a raffle. Refreshments follow the special.

Carol Service
Dec 15 @ 6:30 pm – 9:00 pm

Our popular Carol service is on Sunday 15th December at 6:30 p.m. Our Vice President Helen will take us through the nativity story in verse and we sing traditional Christmas Carols. This is a ‘bring and share’ evening so if possible, please bring some food along to share in the kitchen afterwards. There will be readings and some children’s’ musical performances. So it should be a lovely evening so do come along and you won’t fail to get into the Christmas spirit. (If you’d like to contribute a Christmas poem or piece of prose to read out from the platform, please call or text Helen on 07736 256499).

As is the practice every year, we are welcoming gifts to go under the tree. They’ll be collected after the service to be taken to a local refuge centre for Women and Children. Gifts should be unwrapped please and not in Christmas wrapping as the centre staff will process the gifts so they’d like to see what the gift is.
