Newsflash – we are proud to announce that our wonderful church Vice President Helen Jones is targeting to raise £4,000 for St Kentigern’s Hospice by taking part in the Dalai Lama Trek in the Himalayas in India in October 2020 organised by St Kentigern’s. Our church has long been a charitable supporter of St Kentigern’s and Helen’s fundraising initiative continues our history of charitable donations to the hospice.
The trek begins in Dharamsala, where the Dalai Lama and the centre of the Tibetan Community are situated – the heart of the world’s highest mountains. Then Helen and the Group will set off on foot to explore this stunning region. This special charity challenge incorporates India’s best sights and sounds. In this 5 day trek, the group will walk through the Kingdom of Gaddi – a semi-nomadic race who spend months wandering the high passes with their cattle. With spectacular views of the Daula Dhar Mountain Range, their journey together will take them through rhododendron forests, passing through Hindu settlements and Buddhist Monasteries.
The trek is going to be physically demanding and Helen will be going into training for this trek between now and October 2020. Helen has started out as she means to go on – this is her climbing Mount Snowdon on Bank Holiday Monday.

Also, two of our church mediums have kindly volunteered to host clairvoyant evenings in September with all proceeds going to this fundraiser. Please make a note in your diaries to come along if you are able and please and could you publicise this with friends and family. These two great evening events are as follows:-
Our own Michael will be hosting a clairvoyant evening at the Crown Inn, Trelawnyd at 7:30 p.m. on 23rd September – tickets cost £8 and are payable at the door.
James Byrne will be hosting a clairvoyant evening at the Little Theatre, Rhyl at 7:30 p.m. on the 27th September – tickets cost £8 and are payable at the door.
